Chinstrap Penguins tuning in. Most mating in the bird/ animal Kingdom starts with sounds and movements to attract partners initiated by strong light and release of hormones. The ones tuning in and mirroring are often the ones chosen with best chances for nice cooperation, successful breeding, joy and happiness(?) 👍 🐧❤️ 🐧👍

Anyhow much easier with the tripod on a pavement that does not move with the waves. Thanks Ole! 🌅🦅🌅😂

Chinstrap penguin with the namegiving black line crossing around the cheeks, enjoying the spring morning on Half Moon Island, Antarctica. Chinstraps with a hight of 70cm(+) and a weight of about 4 kg, have an impressing «cruising speed» in the ocean of about 5 km/hour, dive down to 70m depth and live mostly from krill. They are persistent mini-moutaineers nesting in rocky areas up to 100m above s

The Kamchatca Salmon come into the river where it was born driven by instincts, hormones and «built-in» GPS. The Salmon Ran is so intense there is not enough water to everybody so they swim on top of each other. Some are taken by bears before they sre ablr to spawn and other just die before completing their last mission!👍💦🐋🐋🐋💦

The Circle of Life 2. The upriver salmon run is one of nature’s great migrations. After being out on the oceans for years they find their way back to the river they were born and spend their last energy to go as far as possible against the stream, then spawning and dying. So the feeding of the bears is just taking care of the available food resources. As you see on the picture also many of the sa

Bears have selfconsciousness, they know : I am me. One day we will hopefully know more about what and how much they are "thinking". Homo sapiens used to think that they (themselves) do all by "common sense" and all other animals all by "instincts". 👍🐻👍😫👍😃

Thinking oneself to be someone else is not being ones best, that's still the human ones coping best one is doing with just it's face on top. Doing that is holding oneself back from actually knowing what their best really is. It's great to be inspired to do what one loves but not turn oneself into someone else and call it their best.
