A sunset changes everything
Tons of snow outside and this is what I am dreaming of. The grass is always greener on the other side. In this case maybe drier not greener.
Sometimes, I don‘t even have to leave my house to take photos. So convenient 😄
The blue curve - I just realized that this is so similar to the dune photo I posted 2 days ago. So similar, yet so different.
Do you believe in soulmates? A person who you can spend days, weeks or months together, every single day, every minute, without getting on eachothers nervers? A person that you can just spend time with, without even talking for an hour, and it’s totally fine and not awkward at all. A person that you can understand by just looking at eachother, and be yourself and not pretend to be something or som
Qeshm island was so incredible beautiful. I wished to stay for longer on that Island but it was just unbearable hot during the day. And since we lived in the van, we had no place to cool down for even a minute. No place to take several showers per day when we felt sticky and hot. So we really enjoyed the wind in our hair near the ocean in the evenings and listen to the waves and watch desert foxes
This was our first night in the van and it was pretty awesome. Garmeh is a oasis that is located on the famous Silk Road. Right next to our van was a natural water spring which has been running for thousands of years.
Incredible Stars Valley on Qeshm Island in Iran. People say, that ghosts live in that valley and they hear them sing at night. #martinapersia
Memories from that magical place in Shiraz. The last couple of days I was going through my Iran photos and thought I share one more of this series in that wonderful mosque. #martinapersia
The last light over Piz Bernina. The highest peak of Garubünden. Many have already lost their lives trying to ascend it.
Who wants to move in??
Glaciers are something so precious and beautiful. I am so glad I get to see them up close as long as they are still here.
My hood - sometimes I am imagining how it must have been, living in these houses 400-500 years ago during cold winters. What kind of people have lived here and what was their stories. Crazy that these houses are still standing and being used while nowadays everything is made just for short term.
A sunset from the top of a mountain is the best I think. #engadin
For the last couple of days I have been thinking a lot about Iran and what is happening there right now. I wish it all turns out well for the Iranians. ❤️ . #martinapersia
I took this photo 4 years ago with my mobile phone. And it still enchants me. The current situation right now is about the same.
Starting the new year at my happy place! Thank you all for your truely amazing messages on my previous post! I‘m overwhelmed by all this kindness of yours. All the best for all of you! ❤️
It‘s the last day of 2017. It definitley has been a year with one of the biggest changes in my life. I can‘t believe how fast time flies and what has happened this year. A dream of mine came true. A year ago I was still living in Zürich, where I had been living the last 16 years. Studying and followed by working there. But my heart always belonged to the mountains where I was born and grew up. Alm
This piece of art was definitely on the top of my list of places to see when I flew to Chiang Mai with @qatarairways. It was just incredible to see it with my own eyes. #chiangmaitogether
This morning at 8:00 taken from my bed. Who would want to get out of bed with this view?
I‘m back home from two weeks Thailand trip. Unfortunately I caught a very bad flu on my second day there and this kinda ruined my whole trip. I was feeling down and unmotivated. That’s also the reason for the lack of posts. Nevertheless, @joez19, who I have been following for over 5 years already, was so kind to host me on my second week there and showed me some of his favourite spots in his aweso
The beautiful white temple in Chiang Rai is a piece of art. Literally. It was built by an artist about 20 years ago. I wanted to get the temple in the morning light. So, I got up at 5:30am for sunrise and all I got was a cloudy sky. But at least the crowd was gone.
So happy to be back in the country which I have been travelling to for the very first time overseas when I was 17. This time I got invited by @qatarairways to join their very first direct flight from Doha to Chiang Mai. And of course I had to visit one of the main attraction again, the Temple Doi Suthep here in Chiang Mai. This temple is still as beautiful as it was many many years ago. #Chiangmai
A perfect match! Saying goodbye to the snow for the next two weeks. Finally after 10 years I am visiting a country again that has a special place in my heart. Thailand I‘m coming!
Mornings in the desert on Qeshm Island. It was definitely a night to remember. Scorpions and beautiful desert foxes came to visit us, a sky full of stars above us and also one of the best morning showers right there next to the van. #martinapersia
The first snow in September kinda surprised us. I miss my beautiful #TheKitkatBus!
I love being in the desert. It‘s a place out of my dreams and I feel free and happy there. And when there are camels, even better! ❤️🐪
Pure swissness. Who doesn‘t know this mountain??
This was our home for a month in Iran. We tried to make it as cozy as possible. I miss the vanlife and this woman! . w/ @farzaneh__radmehr #martinapersia
Autumn colour at its best!
A beautiful memory from the sand dunes in Fahraj. Sitting in the warm sand and watching the sun set behind the mountains in the distance. And then getting surprised by the extreme cold that rolls in. #martinapersia
My first winter photo of my new home from this year. Today is a sunny beautiful day, but -17 degrees C this morning. Not so beautiful 😨.
How I miss this person! Also, I am not motivated for winter at all. I would love to be somewhere warm during winter and come back in spring when I can roadtrip with my van again, and hopefully with @farzaneh__radmehr again!! 👯🚌😎
Do you remember the golden autumn we had just before I left to Iran? I still have a few photos I wanted to show you.
I wanna thank you all for all the lovely comments and likes I recieved over the last 5 weeks during my Iran trip. I finally could upload all the photos to my external HD and could have a proper look at them (got a new usb-c adapter 🎉). I still have quite a lot of photos from this trip I would like to share with you in the future. So be prepared to get a mix of swiss and iranian photos ☺️
Back in Switzerland I have exchanged the persian limestone mountains with snowy mountains. Both are beautiful, both are worth a visit. Thank you @turkishairlines for flying me safely and smooth to Iran and back home again! It‘s always a big pleasure flying with you guys. ❤️
It‘s time to say goodbye to Iran and my soul sister @farzaneh__radmehr. I will miss every moment with her! It was the best trip ever. See you soon again!
